1 Scope of Coverage
Please refer to the contracting entity and client category stated in your account opening agreement to determine the applicable arrangements. Entities operating under the Asia Future brand do not necessarily provide the same protection.
Contracting entity and client category | Proposed protection under this policy |
Asia Future Trading Corporation Limited | Applies to live CFD trading accounts held in the client’s own name, including Standard, Pro, Raw, Cent and Privilege accounts. |
Corporate and other institutional clients of the SVG entity | Provided only where expressly agreed in writing between the company and the client. The scope of protection is governed by that written arrangement. |
This policy covers CFD trading in eligible accounts. It does not automatically extend to other products or services, including futures, options, cash securities, funds, custody or lending. Any mandatory protection required by applicable law is unaffected by this policy.
2 Protection and Calculation Basis
We assess each eligible trading account separately. The actual trading negative balance is determined after all relevant positions have been closed and valid trades and related normal trading charges have been settled. Eligible negative balances caused by normal market movements, price gaps, slippage or insufficient liquidity are covered.
Bonuses and non-withdrawable trading credits are not treated as the client’s own funds. Their removal must follow the published promotion terms and cannot be used to withdraw applicable mandatory protection. Cent accounts are assessed in their account denomination.
We will not use funds in the client’s other trading accounts or wallets to offset a negative balance confirmed as protected under this policy. Amounts owed due to non-trading matters, such as transfers, duplicate bookkeeping entries, reversed deposits or chargebacks, require a separate explanation of their cause and basis and are not automatically covered.
3 Negative Balance Processing
We will start a review when a negative balance is identified. Clients may also submit a request through the Client Portal, live chat on our official website or the contact channels published on that website. No application fee is charged.
Step | Processing arrangements |
Registration and notice | We record the account, when the negative balance arose and the relevant trades. We normally acknowledge the case within 2 business days of system identification or receipt of a request and explain how to check its progress. |
Trade reconciliation | We check positions, execution records, trading charges and account transactions, distinguishing trading losses from non-trading bookkeeping matters. |
Adjustment and notice | For complete, undisputed cases, we normally complete the review and adjust the protected amount to zero within 5 business days after accepting the case. We notify the client of the adjustment amount and outcome. |
Complex cases | Where additional information or linked-account review is required, we normally provide a decision within 10 business days after accepting the case. If this is not possible, we explain the reason and expected completion date and provide updates at least every 5 business days. |
These are proposed service timeframes and do not replace any duty under applicable law to act immediately or sooner. If more information is required, we will specify what is needed and why. An investigation must not be used to postpone processing indefinitely.
4 Trading and Deposits During Review
During a negative balance review, we may restrict new positions based on the actual risk and applicable agreement. We will explain the reason and the conditions for lifting the restriction. Restrictions on new risk should not prevent clients from reducing or closing positions under valid trading conditions.
We recommend making further deposits after receiving the adjustment outcome. If a client has already deposited funds, we will record the new deposit separately and will not directly apply it against the trading negative balance under review. Once coverage is confirmed, the new deposit remains the client’s funds. For amounts outside the scope of protection, we must first explain their nature and the valid basis for their treatment.
This policy does not authorise arbitrary withholding of withdrawals. Any restriction on withdrawals or transfers must have an independent legal or contractual basis, and the client must be notified as required.
5 Information Required from Clients
Please provide the trading account number, the approximate time the negative balance arose, and relevant orders or screenshots, if available. Clients do not need to resubmit records already held in our systems.
We may request relevant additional information to verify account control or the authenticity of a request. Information requests must relate to the specific matter, and information will be handled under the applicable privacy policy. A shared IP address, shared device or similar trading pattern alone does not establish abuse.
6 Abuse and Review
Negative balance protection addresses eligible trading losses. We will review the following circumstances where specific evidence exists. These circumstances do not automatically establish abuse.
• Coordinated arrangements across linked accounts: opposing positions in accounts controlled by the client or coordinated with others, with evidence of a deliberate arrangement to retain gains while transferring losses beyond account funds to the protection mechanism.
• Repeated circumvention of restrictions: false identities, concealed account control or repeated account opening to circumvent notified account restrictions and repeatedly request negative balance adjustments.
• False application information: forged or altered information, or concealment of material facts directly relevant to a negative balance request.
• Exploitation of confirmed technical defects: repeated exploitation of specific system or pricing errors, with evidence of a breach of applicable trading terms. We will also investigate pricing and execution issues on the platform itself.
News trading, weekend positions, pending orders placed near market close, high leverage, normal arbitrage, legitimate copy trading or MAM, and a single negative balance event are not, by themselves, sufficient to establish abuse.
We will review orders, account transactions and account control, give the client a reasonable opportunity to explain, and provide a written decision with its basis and the specific measures taken. Where a relevant breach is confirmed, we may restrict new risk or terminate future services in accordance with applicable law and the agreement.
Refusing a negative balance adjustment, reversing an execution, withdrawing a reward or seeking repayment each requires a valid basis and must be limited to the relevant matters supported by evidence. An investigation, a risk label or a breach of unrelated terms does not automatically withdraw protection. This section cannot exclude applicable mandatory protection.
7 Enquiries Disputes and Complaints
Clients may check progress or challenge an outcome through the Client Portal, website live chat or the complaints channels published on the legal documents page of our official website. Please include the account number, the specific grounds for disputing the outcome and any additional information available.
We normally acknowledge a dispute within 2 business days. A person who was not directly involved in the original decision will review it, and we normally provide a written response within 10 business days after receiving complete information. If more time is needed, we will explain why and provide progress updates. Any stricter timeframes or external complaint rights under applicable law take precedence.
Internal review does not restrict clients’ legal rights to seek external dispute resolution or other remedies. Applicable external channels are set out in the contracting entity’s complaints policy.
8 Effective Date and Changes
Read this policy together with the Client Agreement, fee schedule and complaints policy. Mandatory law takes precedence in the event of a conflict. General provisions in the Client Agreement must not be used to withdraw protection expressly provided by this policy.
Changes that reduce coverage will normally be notified at least 30 days in advance and apply only to new risk exposure established after the change takes effect. They will not retrospectively affect existing positions or protection events that have already occurred, except where the law requires an immediate change. Policy versions and effective dates will be retained on our official website.
CFDs are leveraged products, and clients may lose all trading funds in their account. Negative balance protection does not replace margin management, stop-loss orders or the client’s own risk controls.
