In MetaTrader 5, archived orders (history orders) generally refer to trades that have been closed or canceled. To view archived orders, you can use the "Account History" feature.

1. Steps to View Archived Orders

  1. Open the MetaTrader 5 platform.

  2. Click the "Terminal" window:
This window is located at the bottom of the platform and displays account information, current trades, order history, and more.

  3. Switch to the "Account History" tab:

    • In the Terminal window, select the "Account History" tab to display all completed order records.

    • If no history orders are displayed, right-click in the blank area of the "Account History" and choose "Show All History" to view all completed orders.

2. How to Filter Archived Orders

  1. Custom Time Period:
You can set a specific time period to view historical orders within that timeframe.

    • Right-click in the Account History area, choose "Custom Period", then select the start and end dates.

  2. Export Historical Orders Report:

    • Right-click any order in the Account History list, select "Save as Detailed Report", to generate an HTML or CSV report of your trading history for easy viewing and saving.

3. Archived Order Details

In the "Account History" tab, you will see the following:

  • Order Number: The unique identifier of the trade order.

  • Symbol: The trading symbol of the order (e.g., EUR/USD).

  • Open Time and Close Time: The start and end times of the order.

  • Order Type: Indicates the type of order (e.g., Market Order, Pending Order).

  • Volume: The contract size of the trade.

  • Profit: The final profit or loss of the order.

  • Commission: The fee charged for the trade.

4. Notes

  • Archived orders are not displayed in the current trading window; they are stored in the history records for you to view at any time.

  • If you do not see any history orders, it may be because your account has no completed trades or the history records have not fully loaded.

📌 Tips:

  • Regularly Review History: Reviewing archived orders helps you recap trading strategies, assess risk management effectiveness, and summarize trading experience.

  • Export Reports: Regularly export trading reports for record-keeping and analysis.
