Email Security Type (Email 2FA) — Guide & Troubleshooting
When you first register an AFT account, email is set as the default security type. When verification is required, a code will be sent to your registered email address.
Note: Changing the security type to Email is only available within 30 days after account registration.
Troubleshooting Email Security Type
If you encounter issues receiving verification codes via email, please follow the steps below depending on the situation.
When registering your AFT account:
Check your spam/junk/promotions folder.
Use the resend code option on the registration page.
Clear browser cache/cookies and retry.
If using a VPN, temporarily disable it to avoid delays.
Try another browser or device (e.g. switch from Chrome to Firefox or Edge).
When trading in the Personal Area:
Log in to your Personal Area.
Go to My Profile > Settings > 2-Step Verification, click Edit.
Confirm that Email is selected and that the displayed address is correct (may be partially hidden).
If correct but no code is received, re-check the spam folder and use resend.
Clear browser cache/cookies and try again; if unsuccessful, wait about 1 hour before retrying.
If using a VPN and delays are suspected, disable the VPN and retry.
If still unresolved, try a different browser or device.
If email verification codes are frequently delayed, it is recommended to switch the method to push notifications under My Profile > Settings > 2-Step Verification (if supported).
If the issue persists, please submit a request via Personal Area > Support Center for further assistance.
