Security Type Overview

A Security Type is the verification method used to confirm ownership of your AFT account when performing certain operations.

Operations requiring account verification include (but are not limited to):

  • Change Client Portal password

  • Recover Client Portal password

  • Change security type

  • Change agent (IB)

  • Withdrawal

  • Change trading password

  • Set or modify investor (read-only) password

To safeguard your AFT account, we strongly recommend choosing a convenient security type to reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
