Mac
Using QuickTime Player:
Open QuickTime Player from the Applications folder or by using Spotlight (Cmd + Space, type “QuickTime Player”).
Click File, then click New Screen Recording. A new screen recording window will appear.
Click the arrow next to the record button to select your microphone. You can also choose to show mouse clicks in the recording.
Click the red record button to start recording. You can record the entire screen or drag to select a portion.
After selecting an area, click Start Recording.
To stop recording, click the Stop button in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
To access the file, click File, then click Save to save the recording.
Using the Screenshot Toolbar (macOS Mojave and later):
Open the Screenshot Toolbar (Cmd + Shift + 5).
Choose the portion of the screen you want to record.
Click Options to set your preferences.
Click the Record button.
To stop recording, click the Stop button in the menu bar, or press Cmd + Shift + 5 and click the Stop button.
The recording will appear in the lower-right corner of the screen. Click it to trim, save, or share.
Windows Operating System
Using the Snipping Tool:
Search for Snipping Tool in the Start menu search box.
Click the Record button on the toolbar, then click New.
Drag to select the portion of the screen you want to record.
Click Start to begin recording—you will see a three-second countdown.
Click Stop to finish recording. You can copy it to the clipboard to share, or click Save (it is saved by default to the Videos folder).
Android Operating System
Using the built-in screen recorder:
Swipe down twice from the top of the screen.
Tap Screen Record. You may need to swipe right to find it. Tap Edit and add Screen Record to Quick Settings.
Select what you want to record, then tap Start. Recording begins after the countdown.
Before starting, you can choose to record audio and show touches on the screen.
To stop recording, swipe down and tap the Screen Record notification.
Apple (iPhone or iPad)
Using the built-in screen recorder:
Open Settings, then tap Control Center.
Add Screen Recording to Included Controls.
On iPhone X or later, swipe down from the top-right corner (or swipe up from the bottom edge on earlier models) to open Control Center.
Tap the Screen Recording button.
To record audio, long-press the Screen Recording button and tap the microphone icon to turn the microphone on.
To stop recording, open Control Center and tap the red status bar or Screen Recording button again.
The recording will be saved to the Photos app.
